Why teams need this

Your team has spreadsheets full of data and no time to dig through them. Reports wait on the one person who knows the formulas, messy exports get cleaned by hand every month, and when someone does ask AI, nobody knows if the answer is right. A formula that looks right but is wrong can travel a long way before anyone spots it.

CRISP-DM-based routine
Participants follow a six-step routine adapted from CRISP-DM, a data-analysis process developed in the late 1990s by a consortium that included DaimlerChrysler, SPSS and NCR. The steps are business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, analysis, evaluation and deployment.
Trust-but-verify lab
Research by Simon Thorne (Cardiff Metropolitan University) found that ChatGPT can produce correct formulas, but its accuracy breaks down when information is limited, uncertain or the problem is complex. Participants hunt for planted errors in an AI-built analysis.
Group challenge and role-play
Teams analyse the same messy dataset and compare answers. Then they role-play presenting findings to a manager who keeps asking, "How do you know this is right?"

Exercises use your team's own data, with personal data removed or masked before any AI use. They work with Excel and Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude, depending on your approved tools and data policy.
