Why teams need this

Buyers no longer only type keywords into Google. They ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity for recommendations. Meanwhile your blog posts are irregular, written from scratch each time, and nobody can say whether they bring enquiries. Publishing lots of AI content just to rank is also a risk: Google says using automation, including AI, to produce content mainly to manipulate rankings violates its spam policies.

GEO research
A study by researchers at Princeton and IIT Delhi (KDD 2024) found generative engine optimisation can boost visibility in AI answers by up to 40%. Adding statistics, quotations and cited sources worked best, and keyword stuffing scored below baseline. Participants rewrite a real page using these methods.
Google's E-E-A-T checklist
Every AI draft is checked against Google's own guidance on experience, expertise, authoritativeness and trust ("trust is most important") and on people-first content.
Group work and role-play
Teams compare an original page with an improved one. Then they role-play pitching the content plan to a sceptical owner who asks, "How will this bring enquiries?"

Exercises use your website, industry and language mix, with tools such as Google Search Console and your CMS (e.g., WordPress or Wix).
